1. Next Century Systems single line Speedy Dialer is not a voice modem. It is a sophisticated device that includes a built-in telephone with headset. Next Century Systems Cheetah software allows you to place or receive calls (either live or with automated messaging), and it has the ability to recognize live answers vs. answering machines, busy signals, and disconnects. Call processing is much faster and more efficient than using voice modems or dialing by hand; therefore, you can make many more calls per hour.

2. A power dialer is used by a live agent wearing a headset, using the Speedy Dialer to make calls. An auto dialer is when pre-recorded messages are played to live answers and answering machines without the need for an agent. The Next Century Systems Speedy Dialer does both!

3. When being used as a power dialer the Next Century Single line Speedy Dialer does work with VOIP services; however, the quality and reliability will be affected by such factors as bandwidth availability and the overall quality of the VOIP service. We do not recommend using Speedy Dialer as an auto dialer with VOIP services, but it works fine with power dialing. Most VOIP providers have rules against using auto dialers with their service anyway.
